On Her Way

Boston has waited to go on a mission since she received her fist call as a Star in junior primary.  Then she was five and her mission call was the Philippines.  She reported to the "MTC" at the Mendon Ward Chapel.  She learned to iron shirts, sew on buttons and  ate the food that missionaries prepare in the Phillippines.  It took months for me to convince her that she had to wait until she was 21 to go on a mission.  I think the Lord knew what he was doing when he changed the missionary ages.  Boston is way to impatient to wait that long. Now, almost fifteen years later she has been waiting and waiting for doctor paperwork, dentist appointments and her Stake President to return from an Asian business trip.  While the waiting has been hard and emotionally exhausting she has learned to be strengthened by priesthood blessings and praying to her Heavenly Father. Finally, when it seemed all was lost she got to meet with Bishop Jaussi tonight.  They went through all of the paperwork for her mission. Bishop Jaussi submitted the paperwork with his approval.  Then the Executive secretary for the Stake President called and she is  meeting with the President Waterson on Sunday!  It's finally happening.  She will "officially" be waiting for her call.  This second missionary has strengthened my testimony that things go according to our Heavenly Father's timeline and not our own.  I also  know that her call will be to somewhere that none of us will ever have guessed.
